- The nation’s only peer-to-peer organization dedicated to the mental health of college students.
- American Association of Suicidology
- An organization focused on promoting the understanding and prevention of suicide and supporting those who have been affected by it.
- American Foundation of Suicide Prevention
- Aimed at understanding and preventing suicide through research and education.
- American Psychiatric Association
- Information about mental health disorders including symptoms, risk factors and treatment options.
- Anxiety and Depression Association of America
- International non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of anxiety, depression and co-occurring disorder.
- Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA)
- Patient-directed organization focusing on depression and bipolar disorder. DBSA works to ensure that people living with mood disorders are treated equitably.
- Families for Depression Awareness
- Organization that offering education, training, and support to unite families and help them heal while coping with mood disorders
- International OCD Foundation (IOCDF)
- An organization dedicated to helping everyone affected by obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders to live full and productive lives. They aim is to increase access to effective treatment, end the stigma associated with mental health issues, and foster a community for those affected by OCD and the professionals who treat them.
- National Eating Disorders Association
- Non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders.
- National Institute of Mental Health
- Information about mental health from the U.S. government.
- National Network of Depression Centers
- The NNDC develops and fosters connections among members to use the power of its network, to advance scientific discovery, and to provide stigma free, evidence-based care to patients with depressive and bipolar illnesses.
- NCAA Sport Science Institute
- Mind, Body and Sport Handbook is a collection of chapters from experts in the field combined with first-person stories designed to help student-athletes, athletics administrators and campus partners understand and support student-athlete mental wellness.
- Schizophrenia and Related Disorders Alliance of America (SARDAA)
- Promotes improvement in lives affected by schizophrenia-related brain illnesses (mental illnesses involving psychosis). SARDAA promotes hope and recovery through support programs, education, collaboration, and advocacy.
- Suicide Prevention Resource Center
- A federally funded organization that provides prevention support, training, and resource materials to strengthen suicide prevention networks.
- ULifeline
- An online resource center for college student mental health and emotional well being, aimed at students and campus professionals.
- Voices4
- A local government resource focused on providing information for sexual assault and abuse survivors throughout the lifespan. Resources include health options, various ways to report, victims’ rights in Michigan, rape kit testing and how to help survivors. The website also provides information about Michigan’s new sexual assault hotline and how to be connected to local resources.
- YWCA – West Central Michigan
- A local resource located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids that provides services related to domestic and sexual violence.
